The four seasons

4 wines, 4 seasons, influenced by Mother Nature and the winemaker's workDiscover the 4 facets of Chenin Blanc.

VOUVRAYDry Les Charmes

100% Chenin Blanc – Clay and limestone and clay and flint soils – 40 year-old vines

This wine is released every year at springtime. It is synonym with sunny days coming back. Its notes of citrus and acacia blossom can be discreet in the first place but when it opens up, it will also reveal honey and toasty notes, with a lively finish.

The winemaker’s suggestion: this wine is said to be “tender”. Les Charmes will be ideal as an aperitif or served with beautiful platters of Touraine charcuterie (rillettes from Tours and rillons). It will pair well with seafood and Loire fish rillettes.

Serve chilled (9/11 ° C) – Keep for 5 to 7 years

VOUVRAYSemi Dry Carpe Diem

100% Chenin Blanc – Clay and limestone and clay and flint soils – 30 to 40 year-old vines

“Seize the day, without worrying about tomorrow”, said Horace. Warm summer months have arrived and it is time to enjoy happy days with our loved ones.
Carpe Diem, or when the winemaker co-ordinates ripe and golden Chenin Blanc grapes with the mineral freshness of the Vouvray terroir.

The winemaker’s suggestion: the result of balance between sweetness and freshness, Carpe Diem can be served as an aperitif wine. It will also pair well with spicy or sweet and sour food, such as tagines, white meat with coconut milk or samosas deliciously flavored with coriander and turmeric.

Serve chilled (9/11 ° C) – Keep for more than 20 years

VOUVRAYSweet Les Larmes

100% Chenin Blanc – Clay and limestone and clay and flint soils – 40 to 50 year-old vines

Perfectly golden Chenin Blanc grapes, ripened by the caressing rays of the sun, meticulously selected, delicately picked and carefully pressed, give birth to autumn tears, that run with grace and elegance along the glass.

The winemaker’s suggestion: Les Larmes offers a smooth and delicate texture that will delight your taste buds for an aperitif, with appetizers such as foie gras or local goat cheese like Sainte Maure de Touraine. The quince, apricot and exotic fruit notes of this wine will pair with the simplest to the most gourmet menu: be bold!

Serve chilled (9/11 ° C) – Keep for more than 20 years

L’Enchanteur expresses itself with magic. This sweet wine will undoubtedly cast a spell on you … Its virtues have no limit in the time scale, now or in twenty years, it will surely enchant you!
